The Diocese of Harrisburg is pleased to announce that Mr. Daniel J. Breen will join the Diocese as Secretary for Education and Superintendent of Schools as of July 1, 2019. Mr. Breen will succeed Fr. Edward J. Quinlan and Mrs. Livia Riley, who are both retiring from their positions with the Education Department in June.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Breen to the Diocese as our new Secretary of Education and Superintendent of Schools,” said Bishop Ronald W. Gainer. “Daniel has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and is passionate about Catholic education. I also wish to extend my deepest gratitude to Fr. Edward Quinlan for his 22 years of service to our Education Department, and to Mrs. Livia Riley for her 37 years of dedicated service to the Diocese.”
